Temur (Teimuraz) Babluani is a Georgian film director, screenwriter and actor, one of the strong voices of Georgian cinema in the late-Soviet and post-Soviet years.
His best-known film is “The Sun of the Sleepless” (1992): a harsh, poetic story of a man and his dignity. At the 1992 Berlin Film Festival it won the Silver Bear, the Jury's Special Prize.
